The book’s main character, Hardy Maxwell, battles transhumanism as he yearns to crawl inside a computer. His creation, Quan Yin, is an artificial intelligence struggling to come out. The story explores the polyvagal theory as a computer interface that taps into one’s limbic system to amplify the intuition.
