Dojo
The Dojo is the room after the room. Most sittings happen on Zoom straight after a livestream, run for about ninety minutes, and are led by a moderator while James hosts. It is not a lecture and there are no slides — it is a circle of people talking, often about the show that just ended, more often about their own lives.
The name is the premise. James's argument is that the world is not broken so much as it is a training floor: the noise and dissonance you run into are the curriculum rather than proof that something has gone wrong. The Dojo is where that gets worked through out loud, with the people who show up for it.
It has been running since May 2020 — it began as the Patron Campfire and has passed three hundred sittings since. The conversation also goes out as the Dojo Earth podcast. Watch on the Dojo Earth YouTube channel →
