Death itself is a great awakening. When we surrender, we shed hope and the fear that comes with it. We stop lying to ourselves. Even about the things that made us feel safe. Why is abandoning hope considered so bad? Because we fear hope’s liberation. Yet hope stops us from passing through the portal. If you are so afraid of losing something that you lie to yourself and others, maybe you probably need to lose it. Maybe that’s all that’s stopping you from finding your way home.
